Coverley - Production Engineer} BYE 1110. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/R.14.6.37. P.III CLUTCHES. The American linings on the English made plate give promise of solving our clutch problems. We are optimistic in spite of the fact that we have previously had many disappointments. By the end of this week we shall have about a dozen plates ready, two of which will be on customers' cars, one belonging to Mr. Dubonnet. We can get the linings in quantities from a fortnight to three weeks, Borg & Beck's will let us have a supply of plates in less than a week from receipt of linings, if RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} will send a number of hubs on which to fit the plates. We should like everything possible to be done to incorporate these clutches on production cars as soon as possible after they are available without holding up the output.
