Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

In reference to your esteemed enquiry for 1,000 Chassis Frames to Drawing FCD.139: we much regret we have taken so long to deal with this matter, but we have been giving it very serious consideration from the point of view of our capacity to deal with it, and have reluctantly come to the conclusion that it would not be fair, either to you or to ourselves, to offer to take on this further business until we have made more progress with the "Wraith" Frame. In other words, we feel that we ought to be in the position of having satisfied you on the one Frame before we offer to undertake another type. Would you, therefore, under these circumstances kindly excuse us from quoting on this occasion.

Thanking you for the opportunity you have afforded us, we remain,

Yours faithfully,

p.p. RUBERY, OWEN & CO. LTD.,
