The second dynamo fitted to 64-HC which burned out after running only one week in service.

The previous dynamo we did not submit to you as it was a clear burn-out with no fault in the dynamo itself, as brushes, commutator, and such parts were in perfect order and obviously the fault must be in one of the connections.

In connection with this second burn-out, Mr.Strong states that a loose connection was found on the main circuit positive connection in the switch box. Secondly, possibly as a result of the first burn-out, one terminal was loose on the series winding of the cut-out, it had obviously been tinned originally, and made a good job, but had been melted in the first failure.
