SECRET. Yr. ref: CLE/S.1406/2/E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} 2006 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}RO{C. C. Rose - Export Manager}/WL. 8.3.41. Headquarters, Central Landing Establishment, R.A.F. Ringway, Nr. Manchester. Dear Sirs, Launching Winch. Thank you for your letter of the 1st. March. The largest drum which we can cater for with our present design, which is well advanced, is 10". As it seems unlikely that the cable will be spliced very near to the end we feel that this size should be adequate. Our designs will be completed by the end of this week, and we suggest that if one of your representatives could come down here on Saturday, March 15th, or Sunday, March 16th, to look the drawings over before they are detailed, this would be advisable. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS ROYCE LTD., | ||
