AC HEATER MODIFICATION.

We have handed you the component parts of the AC Vauxhall 25 h.p. car heater which we wish to utilise on our cars and which can be bought for 27/6d. complete. In order to utilise it on R.R. cars, however, it is necessary to obviate the motor noise by putting the motor on the engine side of the dash as we did with the R.R. design heater, and as discussed with you we think that this is best done by carrying the fan off an extension of the motor spindle running in a steady bearing mounted off the motor supporting bracket.

Will you please give us a rough scheme and details for this arrangement - a cover for the heater will also be required.

In addition, will you please give us a detail for a lengthened spindle for our DCD.221 heater, as verbally requested by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.
