For the attention of Mr. Hurn.

Dear Sirs,

With regard to our conversation on the tank rev-counter, we would like you to supply two. These to be calibrated so as to run at half engine speed, with a scale of 0 - 2500 on the dial. The critical speed will be about 2,100. The details of the drive should be as in your drawing X.56967/11, and the direction of rotation will be anti-clockwise, looking on the drive end of the instrument.

With regard to the splendid instrument which you make for aero engines, we feel that such accuracy is not necessary for the tank, and that the standard tank instrument to X.56967/11, recalibrated to suit our engine will be quite suitable. However, since one of the aero type is nearly completed for us, we will take this for one of the above, but would like the standard type for the other.

At the moment we cannot give you further information concerning the tank, for which these engines are to be made, since they are only proof engines and, until this stage is developed, we cannot state what tank will be used or what firm will make them.

We will give you this information as soon as possible.

If you will kindly provide me with the details of the above two instruments, we will instruct our order office to issue a covering order.

Yours faithfully,
