[Signature] BENTLEY 111 and 50. and WRAITH 80. REAR SPRINGS. /? With reference to DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}8/G.11.6.38. there would appear to be some doubt as to whether the test on the knurled bushes is absolutely conclusive. It is suggested that if the spring eye had been clamped around the outside, it would have allowed the knurling to penetrate the spring eye, and so reproduce the conditions on the American springs. We suggest that there should be another test before the knurling is finally abandoned, clamping the spring eye as above. There would appear to be no difficulty about keeping the two sets of knurling in line with one another. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
