X6475 To Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/KT.21.11.33. X204 STREAMLINED BENTLEY. B.23.AE. Thank you for your note of the 18th inst. The car has now been modernised and will probably be ready to go down to Park Wards on Monday of next week. We should be glad if you could give us an indication when we shall be able to get hold of the car again, as we want to make arrangements to take it over to Montlhéry to clock its 100 M.P.H. We should also like to see the final figures of your wind tunnel tests, as we shall have some more H.P. available when the car has done its runs in its standard condition, and I want to be able to predict what speed we should be able to attain. I also want to predict what the standard car will do with the cycle type wings fitted. Have you done anything with regard to the Bentley with increased accomodation with the spare wheels at the side? C. in his note C2/C15.11.33. talks about a filler at the side of the tank - is this any different to what we had on 1.B.IV? Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
