HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} 202 Will you please build up a Bentley axle centre so that the pinion roller bearing is .010 out of line with the main thrust bearing. We suggest this is done on the cast iron centre case by fitting a new incorrectly machined bridge. The only parts required are the case, pinion and two bearings. W.Bell will run this on a rig to determine whether such a procedure will break the pinion nose. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
