Cox - Advertising Manager} Re: NESTHILL TYRE PUMPS. ----------------------- We had occasion to carry out a test with one of the above type pumps to obtain a comparison with the functioning of another type of pump submitted to us, and were surprised to find that the sample we tested has practically fallen to pieces. The test was carried out by one of our own drivers at Bond Street, and we understand the pump did not have any rough usage. We have arranged for Lillie Hall to return it to you and would like to have your comments on its condition. It would seem that the bolts which have become loose require some more definite method of fastening, and also the quality of the rubber buffers is very poor. The bar keeping the spring in position is fractured where it is riveted to the main body of the pump. Perhaps you will kindly let us have your comments in due course, as we think you will agree it is not desirable for a customer to receive a pump such as the one returned to you.
