To Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} x306 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}19/KW.21.1.35. SpectreCodename for Phantom III Brakes. We have had two cases of failure of rivets in the balancing arm of the SpectreCodename for Phantom III Servo mechanism. The rivets in question are the 4 No. 1/4" dia. rivets that fix the two portions of the balancing arm together to form a T. Failure was in shear. Failure occurred when the rear brakes were held off by a clamp, so that the servo did not reach its stop. We think this calls for design attention. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/A.F.Martindale. | ||
