| X251 To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ----------------- ROY{Sir Henry Royce}4/MG29.6.34 ----------------- We have been in touch with Messrs. Benton & Stone regarding Petroflex Pipes, following a discussion I had with Mr. Milner some time ago, and they have now developed an all-metal Petrol Pipe, two samples of which are handed to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} herewith: (1) Suitable for Bentley (2) " 20/25 HP. These they can offer at prices less than half those we are obtaining from the Power Flexible Tubing Company Ltd for the present standard, i.e., Avioflexus Petrol Pipes, which, we understand incorporate impregnated canvas. The Benton & Stone Pipe, you will note is all-metal, and somewhat similar to the "Gabriel" you have under observation. The "Gabriel" is 4/6d, and nearly 30% dearer than the Benton & Stone. Would you kindly pass the samples to BY and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, as these are the only ones I have. ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} Att. 2 samples | ||
