TO BJ. FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} C. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BRAKES. X8370 X8420 X5370 X5420 It should be thoroughly understood that the present servo is not perfectly satisfactory unless fitted with a spring thrust collar. This fitting causes the servo to act without jaggers, and without shock. I understand there is a tendency to alter the bedding of brakes in case of their rough action - (London trials driver reported this of a 20HP. at Cricklewood). This seems wrong.
