No.7. BENTLEY COMPLAINTS MAIN BEARING SINKAGE The new A.C. 2 material of high Brinell is a considerable improvement over A.C. 7. Will Depots please keep careful records of the behaviour of this material and quickly advise Works if trouble should arise. Works are strongly of the opinion that freedom from engine roughness should not be regarded as an indication that the main bearings are satisfactory, and GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} reports that action is being taken to establish a standard oil flow test to determine the state of bearing clearances. Handwritten Note (Main Bearing): AC7 8/10 of main bearing sinkage 9 average mileage 17000 min 7,000. 3 1/2 litre latest models average 32000 miles KNOCKS IN REAR WHEEL DRIVING DOGS A Depot Sheet is being issued for dealing with axle knocks by fitting an improved type of hardened driver.
