RG{Mr Rowledge} 300 (120B) (SF 349 24-1-19) MP 200552 91139 ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To: E.F.C Order No. P.A.2. Customer's No. Date: July 26th 1920 Re: X.3014b. Test of Armature of Lucas Dynamo, for advance or retard of brushes. As a result of this test, the poles on the armature are exactly opposite the point on the commutator, where the current was fed into the armature. This coincides with the makers setting, in which the brushes are set at rightangles to the field. In drawing the foregoing diagram, the comm. segments were not in a correct position in relation to the slots, or better still, the coil connections were probably made on the wrong segments.
