e/-    The foregoing proposals would definitely relieve Derby from exercising supervision over the American Company, and would enable the officials at Derby to concentrate on their own responsibilities, which is a very important factor, in view of the work which is being, and will be thrown on the departments in question in the near future by the manufacture of the 20-HP car.

(4)    We feel it necessary to point out the foregoing proposals, which are constructive, represent from our point of view a complete solution of the problem, but would only be such if adopted as a whole.

(5)    In regard to the question of modifications to standard which were put before the conference by RP, the following changes were considered to have an important bearing upon the finish or future of the chassis; these fall under three headings:-

a/-    Modifications made to meet the changed running conditions encountered by chassis in America.

b/-    Modifications made to enable them to produce with sufficient accuracy by different methods from those adopted in England.

c/-    Modifications made apparently with the sole object of cheapening production.
