Re:- Piston Ring Knocks in Pre-War Engines.

With reference to this matter Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} informed us in a memo of the 17th. inst. that you were going to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town last Monday, and would discuss with R.{Sir Henry Royce} what cure is to be adopted in order to settle a number of complaints of this noise.

Can you please let us know what has been decided, as the matter is somewhat urgent in several cases.
