X 1775 To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} HL2/AG.1.5.33. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Laboratory. RE; SKIN HARDENING OF ALUMINIUM. (Your ref: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/KT.26.4.33) It would appear, from the suggestions on the leaflet, that some anodic oxidation process is used (there is a variety of solutions and methods for this operation). We have previously found on the friction tester that the C.O.3 (Bengough's) method is inclined to encourage picking up and scoring rather than prevent it. Hl. HC | ||
