x4694 317 Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Copy to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Worl4/T20.6.34. Crankshafts for SpectreCodename for Phantom III and P.V. Engines. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}1/MG15.6.34. It is still undesirable, I think, to go to the expense of £1,600 to sink Dies for these Crankshafts. I think we should wait until we have run the SpectreCodename for Phantom III and P.V. before we go to this expense. I take it that we have got at least six crankshafts for SpectreCodename for Phantom III and 2/3 for PV Engines, so that experimentally we are not held up. If the case is as stated and no one has anything new to put before me, I should like you to bring the question up again when these engines have done some running time. I think we ought to be reasonably safe before we instruct the dies to be sunk. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} | ||
