Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7080 E1/M9.9.30. AIR FILTERS - Lac. 2803. X.7080. X.4037. Referring to your memo. BY/MTN17/N25830., concerning the question of fitting air filters on cars for use in Australia, we shew the P. 2. carburetter on Lac. 2803. modified to take an air maze gauze screen in place of the standard outer casing of the air intake silencer. This gauze is intended to be of the same gauge and method of construction as that in use on the "Air Maze" cleaner and we suggest that a number of cars should be fitted up for test with a view to standardisation for Australia, India, and any other places where the conditions render such a device useful.
