Contd. -3- Hsl/LG24.5.21. ---------- pinion. The tests were carried out on 7.CA Car which has been running for nine years. After we had run for 30 minutes full power on the reverse, the reverse pinion seized. We dismantled the parts, freed the pinion and fitted a floating bush with oil grooves. After running for another two hours full power on reverse, the pinion seized again and this time a portion of the gear box was broken out. On our later tests, we have been running for 5 minutes full load then luffing up and running light for two minutes. We then ran another 5 mins. and so on. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
