For the attention of Mr. N.R. Chandler.

Dear Sirs,

Re:- 10" and 11" Clutches.

We have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 29th. ultimo, and have noted your remarks relative to the thrust spring poundage being below that originally specified. We are somewhat at a loss to understand this at the moment, for, as you are aware, all thrust springs are checked for poundage, etc., at our Works, and particular care is taken with units supplied to your good selves. We are arranging to investigate this matter more fully, in the meantime it has occurred to us that there may be some variation between your spring testing machine and ours. We would therefore suggest that you return to us a set of thrust springs, together with their readings on poundage, so that a comparison may be made with the readings taken on the same springs on our own machine.

We are,

Yours faithfully,
BORG & BECK COMPANY LIMITED.

H.T. BARKER.
