INSTRUMENT BOARD.

Please note that although we have received a new scheme from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} we cannot at this stage start in to produce it. We are therefore going ahead with 50 sets of the present patch instrument scheme. The dials will be black finish with white lettering i.e. our present standard finish, and in view of the fact that the dials are black we are incorporating the reflectors. These can be used or not according to what the Experimental Department find necessary.

The Experimental Department should have in hand the set of dials finished to the new proposals. We issued instructions some little time ago for this to be done.

The new point which demands careful attention is whether the reflectors are necessary with the black dials. With the Venetian cream dials the Experimental Department found they were not necessary.
