Re. Gudgeon Pin Grub Screw Spanner. X.1160. With reference to Mr. Matthew's memo of the 13th instant handing me two spanners for the above, drawing No.E4116, I have tested these spanners but cannot recommend them, as standard. They did not seem sufficiently large for the ordinary fitter to obtain enough leverage for unscrewing the grub screws now fitted, let alone tightening them up sufficiently. If it is a fact that it is our intention that these grub screws should not be tightened up any more than it is possible to do with these spanners?
