To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to B.J. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}M OWR. ORIGINAL Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LGL.5.28. 14-EX CAR. x740/x7770 It was found on this car, which has just returned from Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence, that on one front spring 5 bottom plates and the top plate on the N.S., and the 3 bottom plates on the O.S. were broken. Considering the condition of the springs, we doubt whether the car would have been useable if it had not been for the front axle control. This would account for the frequent bumping of the car. The springs have been replaced and the car is being prepared to be sent to London for Sales Officials to try. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
