1180 23rd April 1937 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}19/AP. J.N.Longley Esq., Chief Chemist, Messrs Ferodo Ltd., CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH Dear Mr.Longley, I have sent you under separate cover a pair of shoes fitted with S.Z. They were squeaking and groaning worse than the brakes of the light brown Bentley you tried, and we are now thankful we decided to reline. May I have the following pieces of M.L.:- G.84840 - 16 pieces. GB.2199.A - 8 pieces. GB.2200.A.- 8 pieces. Perhaps when I see you next Tuesday you would give me the wear figure for M.L., and the percentage of lead by weight in it; also the reason for the failure of the S.Z. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
