Conclusions on a warning lamp scheme and an injector system for evaporatively cooled engines in armoured cars.

A warning lamp scheme was incorporated to indicate when steam was blowing off at the radiator vent. Even with the radiator shutters closed it would only light up on very severe gradients or at speeds above 83 m.p.h. on the level. This shows that the radiator should be of ample size for tropical conditions.

Conclusions.

The injector system of dealing with the hotwell condensate appears to be satisfactory for evaporatively cooled engines in armoured cars etc, for although it is not operating with anything like the water pump pressure conditions obtaining in an aero engine system it is nevertheless capable of dealing with the quantity of condensate resulting from severe operational conditions. A further point in its favour is the extreme simplicity with which it can be incorporated in a system as compared with the gear type hotwell pump.
