X8774 Referring to BJ3/E12.7.27. 10-EX car differs from standard in the following respects :- (1) Radiator with shortened tubes and integral shutters. N.sch.2308 and altered fan position etc. (2) Aluminium engine equipped with turbulent anti-detonating head, pedestal pistons and new type camshaft with modified induction system and altered relay. Gain in power 20%. (3) Latest lightened type clutch and flywheel with clutch stop slightly increased in efficiency. (4) Torque control on front axle. (5) Hartford and hydraulic shock dampers fitted to both front and rear. Loading of rear dampers more than standard. (6) Rear springs 25% stiffer than standard with 1.4" initial camber to improve car road holding qualities. (7) Front braking increased slightly. (8) Rear axle ratio 16 X 52. (9) Shortened steering column and altered pedal position to suit driving seat. Rigid column support and friction in the column. (10) Dashboard petrol gauge and rev. counter. (11) Heat shield for autovac and increased length of stroke with larger dia. connecting pipe to improve petrol supply at high speeds. (12) Plain bonnet without shutters.
