| -2- Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /GR. {George Ratcliffe} 15/KW.25.11.35. Owing to the amount of rebound on the rear, great difficulty was experienced in getting the rear wheels back to normal alignment. This was finally achieved by rolling the car forward and backward. The car was then prepared and delivered to Conduit St. {Capt. P. R. Strong} , London, for the attention of Mr. Lappin. The steering was found to be very heavy at low speeds; carburation was very poor below 40 m.p.h, petrol consumption excessive according to the gauge; maximum speed was not tested, but 100 M.P.H. (speedometer) was easily attained. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /G.H.Ratcliffe. | ||
