X4196 Rg{Mr Rowledge}2/LW. 20th February 1928 The Secretary, Air Ministry, Adastral House, Kingsway, London, W.C.2. For the attention of Capt. A.G. Forsyth X4196 X3626 X4029 Dear Sir, F.{Mr Friese} Type Engines - Modification No. 23 Dr. Bairsto visited us on February 16th to see various points on ignition plugs and ignition generally. * We put up to him that the standard Chater-Lea terminals would be improved if they were modified from FIG. I (attached) to FIG. II (attached). He appeared to think that there would be no objection to this. If you agree we should be glad of your formal approval. The aim of the modification is to reduce the rigid length of the terminal which makes it much easier to arrange the wires satisfactorily, Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE, LTD.
