My dear Robotham, Just an interim note to let you know that all the points we discussed on Wensday are now well in hand and I should be able to keep my promise of coming along for a further session with you in about the fortnight specified. In view of the fact that you were particularly anxious to have a pair of high-frequency horns tuned down to the 100 phon value I am bringing through specially for you a pair and with luck should be able to despatch them by about Monday of next week. I am afraid you will not find them very effective but I hope they will not be too unpleasant. We have had one or two minor brainwaves on the lamp question which are moving all in the right direction and I know you will find them interesting. I much appreciated the opportunity of driving your "Wraith" to Nottingham and I can say without any restraint that it is easily the most attractive motor-car it has yet been my lot to handle. Frankly I have not been very enthusiastic about some of your recent productions, excellent as they undoubtedly are, but the "Wraith" certainly scored a bulls-eye with me, and I have had an opportunity of singing its praises loud and long, in several quarters already. I consider it a remarkable achievement and the only fault I could honestly find was that the clutch seemed to have a tendency to continue to shudder if this effect was once set in motion by a crude | ||
