To D.A. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} E.F.C. ORIGINAL FEB 14 1921 RECEIVED E3/G12/2/21. 3 X.4220RE "GOSHAWK II" - CRANKCASE FRONT ARMS. We send you herewith drawing Lec.1345 giving particulars of the front arms of the crankcase. This also shows the final details of the wheelcase, the bolting of which has had to be modified to accommodate the close-up water pump drive recently sent you. The bolts joining the top and bottom half of the crankcase have now all been made .312" diameter, and to accomplish this the shape of the end walls of the crankcase has been made with vertical chamfers each side, as illustrated in the thumb-nail sketch.
