The operation of the sliding pieces presents difficulties in both Detroit and Warner gears, excepting the Stutz-Detroit gear, and in this case the box is lengthened to accomodate the operating gear alone. We understand Mr. Royce is sending us suggestions in connection with internal mesh gears. (8) RR. PROPOSAL FOR EPICYCLIC 3RD. WITH BRAKE.
