Dear Sirs, We are to-day forwarding by passenger train the sample matrix complete with tube plates, in accordance with our Drg. No. J.53, which you require for test purposes. We would like to point out that this matrix is hand-made and, therefore, its appearance is not quite up to the usual standard which will subsequently be obtained when the necessary tools are in use. The results on this matrix, however, should be similar to those for subsequent production radiators, and will enable you to compare its efficiency with other types. We shall be glad to have your official order for this matrix, so that we may keep our books straight. We are looking forward to receiving a favourable report on this matrix after it has been tested, and, in the meantime, would like to offer any further help which we can give in connection with the matter.
