Copy to PN.{Mr Northey}

[Stamp: 28 MAY 1931]

PN{Mr Northey} is anxious to have the improved type of wider brake drums fitted to the back wheels of this car, i.e. the same modification as was fitted to Mr.Thistlewaite's car.

This car, I understand, will be kept in commission until after August when it will be replaced by a new car, chassis No.31-GX.

I should be glad if you would let me know how soon the parts could be supplied and whether it would be necessary for the car to come to Derby for the change to be made or whether it could be carried out at N. if the parts were sent there.

The same modification ought also to be made on the new car, 31-GX so I should be glad if you would have the necessary parts made for this as well.
