E.8/HP. 18th July 1933. Mr. A.{Mr Adams} Hukins., Messrs. E.N.V.Engineering Co.Ltd., 4 & 5 Hythe Road, Willesden, LONDON.N.W.10. Dear Sir, re Preselective Gear Box. ------------------------ Replying to your letter "AH" of the 12th inst. we return herewith data sheet, filled in with the information required. Regarding the gear ratios, we find that your high ratio box corresponds more closely than the low ratio box with our standard 20/25 gearbox, as you will notice from the figures given on the data sheet. We, therefore, think the high ratio box would be more suitable for us to test out. We thank you for the drawings sent in connection with the details of the E.N.V. box, and will let you have in due course particulars of the tail shaft required for the adaption to our chassis. Yours faithfully, For and on behalf of ROLLS-ROYCE Limited From A.G.Elliott. CHIEF DESIGNER. ----------------- | ||
