X.3545 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG16.3.21. RE. AXLE RATIOS. X.3545 X.3457 X4299 During my last visit to Mr. Royce, he was recommending that we should adopt the 15 toothed axle as the standard ratio and to push on with the 14 tooth as the low geared axle for heavy cars. As the 15 toothed axle has been standardised, it is now only a question of whether the works can produce them economically and whether customers are pleased with them. Our own opinion is that a car fitted with a 15 toothed axle is an improvement over one with a 16 toothed. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
