The following is our reply to the features
mentioned in H5/LH {Mr Haworth} 12.11.26.

(2) Throttle control.

We have already sent round a standardisation sheet
for the improvements to the throttle control. We have
recommended that this should be adopted without running 10,000
miles.

(4) Water boiling indicator.

We have recently sent a sample of the warning light
to Sales, and have received their comments. We are awaiting
BJ's signature to complete the std. sheet.

(5) Burning of platinum points.

The improvements in battery ignition to prevent
platinum points burning have been fitted to Phantom cars for
some time. We cannot say at present on which chassis the
modified switch will be fitted.

(7) Tappet knocks and general engine noises.

If we are going to reduce engine noises, we want
them more clearly defined, than being described as 'general
engine noises'.
As regards tappet knocks, a new design has been
standardised which we are sure will reduce this trouble.
As regards engine knocks, thickening up of the cyl. extensions
reduces this and this modification is now incorporated on
all engines.

(13) Squeaking of exhaust baffle.

This point is receiving attention.

(14) Squeaking throttle and weak control mechanism.

See reply to No.2.

(15) Engine thud.

We have nothing to report on this matter.
