Messrs Ferodo Ltd.,
CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH.

Dear Sirs,

Ferodo R.L.2.

We are returning to you for examination 12 pieces of R.L.2. taken from the batch of 16 ordered by us in our order No.45136 delivered 2nd August.

The Ferodo as received was nearly flat and did not conform to our drawings GW.371 and GW.685; when we tried to bend it, it split. We are returning some Ferodo in the as received condition, and other pieces after bending. We are retaining 4 pieces which we have managed to bend satisfactor-ily so as not to hold up our test.

We should be obliged if you would replace the defect-ive pieces.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
