The ignition curves show that the plugs on the exhaust pipe side of the engine require more advance than those in the standard position, when used singly or together. When used together in correct relationship, not so much advance is required, which would seem to indicate that it is more efficiency than single ignition. As far as we have gone with these experiments we can say that for the particular compression ratio and fuel used we have not, up to the present, been able to appreciate any less detonation with two ignitions than with the single. We intend to continue these experiments with a suitable fuel and compression ratio to judge accurately the effect on detonation. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/ACL. | ||
