Engineer} JAH Dear Sirs, Re:- Order No.79888 We are very sorry that due to a misunderstanding your letter of January 4th reference as above, addressed for the attention of our Mr. C.H.Smith has unfortunately remained unacknowledged. We would, however, confirm that following this letter we put in hand 2 - N.3293 and 1 - N.3294 special Steering Cam Roller Bearings. The material for these bearings was received yesterday and the tools for manufacture will be completed today, we hope thus to be in a position to despatch to you the complete bearings on February 27th. There is, however, one point over which we are having difficulty, namely that we are unable to obtain the three spring clips part No.F.89830. In the past we have been able to obtain spring clips of this nature from The Adamant Engineering Company at Luton; these friends have been approached but are unable to help us. We are wondering whether you would advise us of the manufacturers who are producing these clips so that we can communicate with them, or alternatively are you in a position to supply these yourselves. We feel sure you will be only too willing to co-operate with us over this small point. Our quotation for the bearings in hand is as follows, and we would ask you to bear in mind that the special tools necessary for manufacture represents a large proportion of the cost of this job as we find that they are proving extremely costly.
