For the attention of Mr. Entage R.D.E.3.

Dear Sirs,

You will be interested to know that we have recently completed several tests on a single cylinder engine, using A.C. plugs fitted with the new Sinterkorund insulators.

The plugs tested were Nos. X405, X406, S403 and S404.

The results of these tests were really remarkably good, as these people have never supplied us with any sparking plugs for Aero engine work before.

The first plug they submitted to us stood up to extreme overload engine conditions on a Kestrel single cylinder engine without any failure or pre ignition.

The following is the result of the tests carried out :-

(1) Plugs type S403 and S404.

These were run under take off conditions on the Kestrel single cylinder at 2400 R.P.M. 210 B.M.E.P. glycol outlet temperature 130°C. and boost air temperature 70°C. both plugs run
