It is understood that there is some doubt whether we make these for "Goshawk II" until Mr. Wormald decides that providing he is given competitive designs and well bought materials he can make these for as low a cost as the makers specialising on these accessories inEngland.

To do this he must have ample efficient and economical sources for -

(1) sheetmetal pressings.
(2) mouldings of insulating materials that leave the mould with a good finish.
(3) die castings accurate to model so as to avoid machining or fitting.

So that the whole can be assembled withoutfitting or hand finishing.

You will see that unless Mr. Wormald is given a chance by myself and the suppliers of semi-raw materials, he cannot hope to complete, but I want him to decide if we do our bit economically, are the quantities and conditions of establishment charges under which he will be working sufficiently favourable.

Mr. Claude Johnson gives a margin of 20% increase as a possible sales price above others, for our superior quality and reliability.

R.{Sir Henry Royce}
