WORK REQUIRED ON 25-EX.

ENGINE UNIT. - Fit Diabolo rubber engine feet.

The engine is unaccountably rough; check balance of flywheel, piston weights etc., bring spring drive and slipper wheel up to 24-EX. condition i.e. windows in spring plate etc. (16 springs E.80241 23 lbs. slipping load)

Quieten oil pump gears (v.{VIENNA} bad).

Quieten timing gears (not up to production standard)

Fit set of valve springs E.70448.

Oil leak from Auto-Klean gland (New design 'BY')

Fit British Goodrich Fan belt.

CLUTCH. - Check up driven plate for parallelism.

Fit modified pressure plate .250" decreased inside diameter and .050" thicker at point of contact of springs.

GEAR BOX. - Quieten side shaft; rough gears and noisy ball race.

Quieten third gear, not up to standard.

Investigate rattle from gear change lever. (reverse mechanism?)

SHOCK DAMPERS.- Fit the new weaker springs in rear shock damper connecting links.

EXHAUST SYSTEM. - Scrap aluminium system and fit up standard system but without cut-out.

RADIATOR. - Carry out modifications to top tank as found necessary by tests now in progress.

BRAKES. - Fit latest scheme (BY) for preventing the toggle, adjustment being let out so far that all lining is worn away.

PETROL TANK FILLER.- Do away with petrol proof rubber in filler cap and substitute leather washer.
