Messrs. John Marston Ltd.,
Wolverhampton.

For the attention of Mr. Southall.

Dear Sirs,

We are to-day returning to you the Bentley 52 m.m. Mark VI radiator matrix (EB.518) which we received from you yesterday. This matrix differs from drawing EB.518 in that the angular bottom corners are stepped instead of having straight edges as in the case of our other similar matrices (see sketch attached).

Unfortunately I had left the works here before the matrix arrived, or I would have brought it over with me on my visit yesterday.

We should like this difference rectified as it is not possible at present to fit the bottom tank without resorting to makeshift methods. We would like you to return the corrected matrix at the earliest possible moment, as we have been waiting for this matrix for one of our cars which is going to France shortly.

We are also sending you the American made Mark VI type matrix mentioned in our discussion yesterday, for stripping and examination by yourselves. If you could make us a small presentable specimen block from this matrix we should be obliged.

I should like to take this opportunity of thanking you for the attention shown me on my visit yesterday.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
