Dear Sirs, Thank you for your letter of the 4th inst. We suggest that the stress on maximum bump should not exceed 45 tons per square inch. The top leaf being kept as thick as possible. As we are now very interested in this type of spring, will you please let us have a drawing of your suggested springs, giving stresses etc., as soon as possible.
