The above scheme shows how we propose to produce the radiator front picture plate and grille for the 1st Car. The grille frame is made in Brass, and the shutters are riveted on to angles which are sweated to the top and bottom portions of the frame, there is also a stiffening plate which ties the shutters together. This should make quite a rigid structure. The main centre strip is of a channel section and is riveted to the top angle strip and a casting at the bottom which has a door to allow the starting handle to pass through. Riveted to the back of the picture plate is a backing plate (shown on sheet 3) with hank rivets with which to attach the grille assembly to the bonnet cowl. This design should give us the appearance Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} has aimed at, and is like the small scale models we have already produced. It will then be necessary to see if a die cast grille can be produced without spoiling that appearance. The design of the monogram is in hand, and will be issued shortly to complete this job.
