re Mr.E.R.Hall -
Le Mans.

Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}10/E12.5.36

Thanks for Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}7/KW.8.5.36. I am glad to note the precautions that are being taken to safeguard the point raised in my Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}4/E7.5.36 as it would indeed be very galling if the party in question were able to get away with our disqualification.

There is another point which arises in connection with the aluminium brake drums and that is in connection with their adequate testing prior to this race, which one imagines is a very severe test on brakes.

We are taking undue risks with our name and reputation if we do not satisfy ourselves by thorough testing that the brakes are fit for use in this race.

The question arises how can we do this in the short time at our disposal?

It must of course be done on a car with the complete outfit that we are proposing Mr.Hall should have and I am not quite clear when a car would be ready but I should be glad if you would let me know and let me have your views and recommendations on this point, the importance of which I am sure you will be quick to appreciate.
