To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from EPC. c. BY/CWH. X7535P EFC4/T15.2.28. P & R BATTERIES IN 6 VOLT UNITS. I submitted suitable extracts from the remarks contained in BY/CWH5/G.8.2.28. to Messrs. Peto & Radford, and in answer to this we have received a letter containing the following paragraph :- "With regard to the special batteries, I submitted your remarks about the dimensions to Mr. Genese and he said that these figures may seem all right on a drawing board but when you come to make the battery with irregular things like cells, sealing compound, timber, bent steel, etc. they do not work out so well and the wooden containers are not as thick as 1/4".
