To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. J1158. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.16/AP.14.1.37. We send you herewith a Tropic Aire Car Heater, which we wish to use as a combined heater and ventilator on 22.G.V. car. In order to do this, we want to arrange for the heater to take its air feed from the outside of the body. Attached sketch shows what is required - the heater should be supported off the foremost floorboard in the rear compartment and discharge through slots in the floorboard covered with a grille as shown on sketch. The necessary ducts etc. should be made in sheet metal and we do not think it is necessary to detail parts. The connections to the engine should be made in a similar manner to Clayton Heater Connections. Will you please fit the heater in this manner to 22.G.V. when it next comes into the Shop and also remove its water pump and hand same to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. for examination.
